The
Poet's Loft features a new local artist every month participating
in the historic Hot Springs Gallery Walk on
the first friday of each month.
The artworks on display in our social area are from local
artists not represented by local Art Galleries in our community.
It's an ever-changing display on rotation. This enables the
Artist to experience the monthly Gallery Walk event from the
perspective of having their works "viewed". It takes
a lot of courage to put oneself out there in such a visual way
and many people don't have that opportunity due to the restrictions
of the typical gallery requirements.
Artwork display space is provided
on "first come first served" basis on a 30 day rotation.
We coordinate the scheduling for people wanting to display.
If someone fails to provide his or her artworks on their display
start date, we will offer the space to the next person on the
display list. Since there are no display usage fees, The Poets
Loft asks the artist to make a 10% donation of all proceeds
for sales of artworks sold from The Poets Loft during the display
period.
We require three to seven finished works
with a maximum artwork size of 30" x 40". Artwork
must be able to safely hang on the wall space provided or display
in the cabinet space provided. An artist biography and the artist's
photo (on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper - for display with the
works) must be submitted with the Artwork Submission Form. Each
work must have an identification display card; Artwork Title,
Artist Name, & Price. The artist must actively self promote.
For space availability
and scheduling information about displaying your works, please
email Judy Ladd at jumperladd@yahoo.com
or call 501-655-3492.
